Watch out

....over there guys, because on Thursday I am leaving for Orlando, US!
It will be the first time for me to visit USA, so it will be exciting.
I am to attend a symposium related to the project I was working with in Paris, but will have a couple of days to have a look around too.
(Any suggestions?)

The weather at home is not much to be happy about.
We have changed from summer time to winter time, so now it's dark when I come home from work and it's been raining too.
*sigh*

Weather forecast for tomorrow at home is:

but, in Orlando it's:

I can live with that.

Yay, you! You will love Florida. Disney World is in Orlando. And you have to go shopping! Great selection and great deals...my weakness was always sandals. :-) Have a safe journey and have fun!!!

Florida will be fun this time of year - but it doesn't look much like most of the rest of the States - except for the strip malls and chain restaurants, that is! But seriously, have a great time!

I'd say the biggest attraction in Orlando is Disney World, Epcot center is very nice. There's also Sea World. My daughter and grandkids just got back from there yesterday and it was hot, close to 90 degrees. But I think if you check online you would find lots of things to do there. Have fun.

You can take the free monorail at Disney to see some of the hotels (Grand Floridian is beautiful) and the ferry boat to the Fort Wilderness Lodge, a replica of the Old Faithful Inn at Yellowstone Natl. Park. Also some great restaurants in Orlando. This weekend will be the coldest its been there since Feb. after a terribly hot summer!

Oh welcome to the US! :) Florida will have great weather (now) as you looked up. Yes, Disney and Epcot are main attractions, but natural beauty is to be seen at beaches with their white sands :)

As you know, I've been following your blog for a long time. It's by far my favorite. I don't want to seem like some weird cyber-person, but I've many times thought of inviting you to visit if you are ever in California. I live with my family and 8 horses about an hour from Lake Tahoe, in the Sierra Nevada foothills. You have inspired me to trail-ride all of my dressage horses in the mountains. We all LOVE it. If you never come to our area, I want to at least post pictures somewhere for you to see because I always think of you when I take them and see my horses ears in the bottom of the photo!
Have fun in Florida :)

Thanks for your comments all!

DQwB - that is so sweet of you! If I ever make it to California, I would love to!

I am finally back home, and we had a marvellous descent over Oslo over a winter landscape in the last rays of afternoon sun - beautiful!

Her it is a thin cover of snow, but snowing more today, and nice winter temperatures around -7 centrigrades (19F). Quite different from sunny Florida!
