Old Town |
Fortunately this time it was lovely spring weather, and no snow storm!
Stockholm is a beautiful town in spring and summer.
The city is built on several islands and the water combined with the old buildings create many scenic views.

Old Town |
Gamla Stan, the Old Town, is the oldest part of Stockholm, and it is so nice just to stroll around there.
To sit down and relax over a cup of coffee when you need to rest your feet.

Not even wide enough for a horse! |

The lovely spring weather makes people crowd
on all outdoor cafees with a place in the sun |

An old telephone booth |

And horses! |
Bye for now!

I've been to Stockholm a number of times, and have always enjoyed it - well, maybe not so much in December but I was once there at midsummer which was spectacular.
You just made me incredibly home sick with those pictures!! I lived in Sweden 11 years ago and I spent most of my time wandering around gamla stan with my best friend. Spring was so wonderful there. My friend and I’s meeting spot was the front steps of the royal castle. Gosh I miss my life over there!!
What a beautiful city. I've got to go there sometime (in the spring)and see everything.
My husband is of Swedish ancestry and he would love to visit there. Your post makes me eager to do that too!
What a wonderful trip you took me on Maria, thank you.
Beautiful :)
Kate - Stockholm in winter time can be windy, grey and cold. But during spring and winter it is lovely!
goodtime -you have to get back and visit again, you know!
GHM - it's such a pity that the distance is so great...
Annette - you should visit you know, if you haven't been to Sweden ;-)
Trudi/Wiola - thanks!
I went to an endurance ride a couple of years ago in Växjö Sweden (and no, i never did learn how to pronounce it right) - but didn't get to Stockholm. That is a lovely city, thanks for the tour!
