Welcome to the world, Little One!

We got a new little one born in the stable yesterday.
It was the stable owner's race brood mare that gave birth.
I am always so happy when everything goes well with mare and foal.
It was a beautiful little baby stallion that was born, brown as his mother.
Isn't he adorable?

Just look at those legs!
Isn't it amazing that they can balance, and even canter on those long, thin sticks so close after birth?

I'm gonna be a race horse, see

He's so beautiful. I love the little babies. Those are some long legs he's got there. Wonder how big he will be.

Look at those legs is right! Wow! His mom is a nice mover, too. What are their plans for him, racing? Thanks for sharing, I love foals!

All baby horses are adorable, but this little guy is particularly cute - he's very animated - love the photo of him underneath mom!

He will be a race horse, yes.
My husband was part owner in his mother's sire, so even if it is not our foal it will be interesting to see what will become of him.
We have had some foals here over the years, but this one charmed his way into my heart more than the others have done. He just seems to have that "special" about him...

What a cute baby. I can understand how he charmed you HorseOfCourse; he really looks like a special one. And yes, those legs are really long! The mare looks like a good mother.

Thanks, OnceUpon.
Yes, his mother is not only a good mother but a sweet tempered mare who has always done her best.
She is now retired from the race course, but has done her share of races. Not in the top league mind you, but steady in the money over many years.
It will be interesting to see what becomes of her offspring, she had the first foal last year.
